Gravel Gringos 2

Another evening for you and your amigos to enjoy some chilled a local off road route/laps finishing at the Cowshed for Mexican style food. This is a ticketed event, please dee details below. 

Food 

Beef Chilli or 3 Bean Chilli (v) & rice accompanied by corn tortillas, guacamole, soured cream and tomoato salsa. 

Your ticket includes the food. 

Beer, Cider, Wine and soft drinks can be purchased at the bar. 

Meet at the Cowshed at 1745, for 1800 departure. We plan to ride with you and peel off early to get the food ready. We're hoping the weather will behave itself and we can do our original 12km loop. 

Food will be served from 1930. 

FAQ:  

What do I need to bring?

Yourself, your e-ticket, a bike and clothing suitable for off-road riding. Please make sure you have the means to repair your own punctures/mechanical issues! Front and rear lights are advised if you leave the cafe later and are riding home. Feel free to bring a spare set of clothes, which you can leave in the cafe while you ride.

Can I drive and park at the cafe

Yes, we have some spaces available in the farm. When these are full then there is a large verge outside the entrance that people have been parking on, as long as the farm entrance is kept clear.

How fast will the ride be?

We suggest splitting into smaller groups and going at your own pace as long as everyone meets back at the cafe for dinner.

How technical will the ride be?

It’s mostly bridleways, the usual mix of mud, gravel and grass! You will need moderate fitness and some technical skill. There’s around 65 metres of elevation.

I’d like to come but can’t make it as early as 1800 :(

That’s fine, we will share the GPX route with you and you can either join the second lap at approximately 1900 from the cafe or you can catch up/intersect the group at another point.
